31 DAYS OF HALLOWEEN DAY 5: NIGHTMARE IN WAX 1969 (MILL CREEK)

Mill Creek brings us a very nice widescreen print of this bizarre film about a scarred ex make-up man played by Cameron Mitchell, who dispatches his enemies by making wax statues out of them.

Mitchell does his usual excellent job as a madman named Vincent Renard who makes people into lifeless figures with the help of some new chemical he's discovered. The movie has a very surreal feel to it and the ending is a kicker that might leave you scratching your head saying "what the hell?".

Still, this is a good film for the Halloween season, and if you don't think about it too much, you'll have a good time. The cast also includes Barry Kroeger, Ann helm, Scott Brady, John "Bud" Cardos and Victoria Carroll.
