MAN FROM PLANET X 1951 (SHOUT FACTORY/TIMELESS)

A sci-fi classic released again on DVD from Shout Factory/Timeless.

I reviewed this a while back and since it has been re-released I will do it again.

Robert Clarke stars as a reporter in Scotland who happens across an alien ship with an invader inside who is planning on bringing the rest of his race to earth for an invasion.

Edgar Ulmer directed this ultra low budget film and makes the most out of what he has to use. No money means more imagination and in every Ulmer film I have ever seen, he uses his imagination to great lengths.

Clarke and his friends try to communicate with the alien, but an evil scientist scientist, played by William Schallert, interferes and all is lost.

Margaret Fields is fine as the love of Clarke's life and her father is played by Raymond Bond. Good atmosphere and small sets only enhance this sci-fi film that is always a lot of fun. Shout factory, in conjunction with Timeless Media has released this on a set of four films which also includes "Beyond The Time Barrier", "Time Travelers" and "Angry red Planet".

The quality is very good and the collection is well worth picking up at about 5 bucks. I will be reviewing all of these films, some which I have done before. Recommended!!
