RIP DARLANNE FLUEGEL 1953-2017

News has reached me about the death last month of an actress who I didn't see in too many movies, I think only one or two to be exact, but they were unforgettable.

Fluegel starred in a few 80's films such as "To Live And Die In L.A." and "Deadly Stranger" but I remember her most from "Battle Beyond The Stars" and "Bulletproof".

A talented and beautiful actress who abruptly quit the movies in the mid 90's to become an instructor at a school in Florida, Fluegel has stuck in my mind ever since I saw her in Battle, a low budget gem from the Roger Corman stable of films.

She was diagnosed with Alzheimer's at the age of 56 and passed away from that terrible disease on Dec. 15th of last year at her home in Orlando according to her daughter. Darlanne was 64.
