RAMBLINGS....

I am a huge fan of the original Batman TV show from the 60's and was astounded a few weeks ago when a friend of mine, when asked how many villains appeared on the show and he answered 4!!

Over the shows run from 1966-1968 there were over 30 of them, and what got me even more is he said he couldn't remember ANY of them except The Penguin, Riddler, Joker and Catwoman. So here is a list of EVERY Villain to appear. Please understand that many of these villains appeared in more than one episode and I am listing them singular.

Season 1... The Riddler (Frank Gorshin/John Astin), The Penguin Burgess Meredith), Joker (Cesar Romero), Mr. Freeze (George Sanders/Otto Preminger/Eli Wallach), Zelda The Great (Anne Baxter), The Mad Hatter (David Wayne), False Face (Malachi Throne), Catwoman (Julie Newmar/Eartha Kitt), King Tut (Victor Buono), Bookworm (Roddy McDowell).

Season 2... The Archer (Art Carney), The Minstrel (Van Johnson), Ma Parker (Shelley Winters), Clock King (Walter Slezak), Egghead (Vincent Price), Chandell/Fingers (Liberace), Marsha, Queen Of Diamonds (Carolyn Jones), Shame (Cliff Robertson), Puzzler (Maurice Evans), The Sandman (Michael Rennie), Black Widow (Tallulah Bankhead), Colonel Gumm (Roger C. Carmel).

Season 3... The Siren (Joan Collins), Lola Lasagne (Ethel Merman), Louis The Lilac (Milton Berle), Olga, Queen Of The Cossacks (Anne Baxter), Lord Marmaduke Fogg (Rudy Vallee), Lady Penelope Peasoup (Glynis Johns), Nora Clavicle (Barbara Rush), Calamity Jan (Dina Merrill), Dr. Cassandra (Ida Lupino) Cabala (Howard Duff), Minerva (Zsa Zsa Gabor).

And there you are. All I can say if you're a fan and cannot remember most of these villains, then you need to sit down and watch this show again from the beginning. Of course some of these villains appeared in numerous episodes thru all 3 years, but I only listed each as they made their debut.

One of these days I might list all the women who appeared on this show. As a child I just loved the heroes, villains and action, but as an adult I also enjoy the bevy of incredibly sexy women that flashed across the screen every week.
