For starters Severin has announced a Jan. 8th street date for a standard version of the 1959 film "Jack The Ripper". This is the classic produced by Monty S. Berman and Robert Baker.
Scream Factory announced that it will be releasing the thriller "The Body Snatcher" starring Boris Karloff on March 26th. Excellent news here. Scream has also announced two great 50's Universal sci-fi films for release on March 19th. "Tarantula" which is my favorite Universal film of all time and "The Deadly Mantis".
Mondo Macabro is releasing two bizarre films. "The Bushwacker" and "The Ravager" will be the first double feature release from their new sub-lable called American Arcana which I understand is being co-branded with Something Weird Video. These two movies are great sleazy fun with lots of nudity, torture, bondage and so much more. No street date has been announced.
And lastly we go back to Scream Factory who is releasing the 1966 Hammer film "The Witches" starring Joan Fontaine. I like this film a lot and it seems like a very neglected classic. I have only seen it once. Also Scream in bringing out "Warning Sign" starring Sam Waterston and Yaphet Kotto. The dates are March 19th and March 26th respectively.
Oh, Tarantula will complete my Clint Eastwood collection.
