Roy Thinnes stars as David Norliss, a writer working on a book debunking the supernatural who suddenly finds himself involved with a young woman that claims she has seen her dead husband walking around.
Gorgeous Angie Dickinson is Ellen Cort, the woman who claims her dead husband was walking around her estate. She and Norliss discover that the walking corpse is real and the even more sinister reason.
This is a top notch Dan Curtis production that he also directed. The dialogue is very descriptive, which is something you never hear in modern movies anymore and the story is flawlessly constructed. The cast also includes Claude Akins as Sheriff Hartly and he turns in his usual excellent performance, Hurd Hatfield, Stanley Adams, beautiful Michele Carey as Dikinson's ill fated sister, Nick Dimitri and gorgeous Vonetta McGee.
One of the best TV movies ever, this was a pilot for a proposed series that was never picked up, which really puzzles me, but that's the way it goes. This disc is long out of print and it cost me a bit of moolah to replace mine, but it was well worth it. If you happen to find it I would recommend watching it late at night. WATCH OUT FOR SARGOTH!!
