THE TALL T 1957 (SONY)

One of the best westerns ever made period.

Budd Boetticher directed this gem starring Randolph Scott as a former independent ranch foreman who is held for ransom along with an heiress by three gunslingers.

Richard Boone, Skip Homier and Henry Silva are the three men who are hungry for money and power. Silva turns in an excellent performance an a trigger happy killer.

Maureen O' Sullivan is the heiress named Doretta Mims, whose husband offers the killers money to let him go and keep her for ransom.

Boone is in fine form as Frank Usher, a killer who really wants to live the life others do, but cannot escape his life of crime.

If you have never seen a Randolph Scott film, this would be the one to start with. They just don't come any better.
