Charles Bronson is Link, a man who is on a wagon train with a young boy named Jamie McPheeters (Kurt Russell). Link recalls the time he had a major feud with a man named Rance Macklin (Jan Merlin) over a beautiful woman played by Susan Oliver.
The movie moves along well, but it does have that "TV" look and feel, and there is nothing wrong with that, but one who has seen thousands of TV shows and movies can easily tell the difference.
Russell is good in the role of 14 year old Jamie and Bronson is Bronson, but he is not as brutal as he is in the movies. I'm not sure why they decided to string episodes of this show together and make it a theatrical release, but oh well.
Bronson fans will want to check this out. The rest of the cast includes John Fiedler, Douglas Fowley, Rayford Barnes, Russ Conway and Morris Ankrum (his final role).
