The ending is somewhat a surprise and the whole movie is one of the best westerns ever made. the movie was, of course co-produced by Scott and Harry Joe Brown and that was always good box office business. Highly Recommended!!

RIDE LONESOME (SONY)
Budd Boetticher again directs this fine western starring Randolph Scott as a bounty hunter who is bringing a killer to justice and soon finds he has unwanted company as well as a few Indians on his trail. The rest of the cast is excellent and includes lovely Karen Steele, Lee Van Cleefe, pernell Roberts, James Coburn (in his film debut) and James Best.
