The past two years we have seen some interesting low budget shark movies including the likes of Sharktopus and others.
This year has been a banner year actually, and this is the latest one to hit the market.
I knew I had to see this film when I discovered Brooke Hogan was in it. I like her. I find her beautiful, sexy and she acts well, and she is getting better as time goes by. This was her first film and I will commend her for it.
Seems like a breed of sharks that swim in the sand are eating people at and on the beach. It's up to a young marine biologist and a party going young man and two cops to try and save the day.
Director Mark Atkins does fine with the material, the sharks and blood are all CGI which sometimes makes me cringe.
If you like good exploitation cheese then this is a film for you, not the best and certainly not the worst. I would gladly watch this over tripe like "The Hunger Games" anyday.
Corin Nemec, Vanessa Evigan, and Gina Holden round out the cast. I did see one name in the cast that was very catching and it was Edgar Allen Poe IV as Mayor Greenburg.
