The plot of this is pretty straight forward. A group of heirs to a family fortune are required to stay in the family mansion and attend a seance.
Thru the night members of the family are killed one by one and the blame is put on an escaped maniac that we see at the beginning of the film killing a young couple.
Wallace Ford stars as a reporter in the house who is trying to grab the big story. Bela Lugosi is a swami named Degar and he really doesn't have much to do, but it add a small horror element to a standard thriller.
Once the true identity of the killer is revealed the viewer is given a rather interesting "black comedy" ending that actually works pretty good. This is a fun film given it's a tired formula.
The rest of the cast includes Sally Blane, Bryant Washburn, Tulley Marshall and Edwin Maxwell. If you have nothing better to do this is a great way to spend an hour.
