This set is a 2 disc collection of three Roger Corman classic from the 1950's. First up is Attack Of The Crab Monsters which is one of Corman's best known films. It seems giant crabs are eating the members of a research team and assimilating their brains. The crabs are some of the coolest monsters ever seen and the cast includes Pamela Duncan, Richard Garland and Russell Johnson. The print qulaity is excellent and the disc includes the old Syndication intro as an extra.
The second film is Not of This Earth, a long sought after film which Corman directed in 1957. Paul Birch stars as an alien vampire from the planet Davanna who comes to earth to collect blood for his dying world. Lovely beverly garland plays his nurse and Jonathan Haze is his chauffeur. I simply cannot say anything bad about this great 50's monster movie!!
The second disc contain War of the Satellites which stars Dick Miller, Susan Cabot and Richard Devon in a story about an alien race trying to stop earth from exploring space. this print is actually the best I have ever seen and both this movie and Attack of the Crab Monsters are culled from British prints. the second disc also features great interviews with Corman and many, many of the people who worked for him as well as 25 trailers from various Corman movies.
This is a HIGHLY RECOMMENDED set and a great way to spend a Saturday afternoon.
