ARACHNIA 2003 (EDGEWOOD)

A small plane crashes and its occupants find themselves stranded in an old farmhouse fighting for survival against giant spiders in this entertaining little film from Brett Piper.
Rob Monkiewicz is the pilot who helps the others to survive, and he does a very credible job. Irene Joseph is Chandra, the most sensible person of the passengers. She is only credited with two movies so I wonder what ever became of her.
The monsters are stop motion animation, and that, at least to me is good to watch and always better than CGI.
As with most all of Piper's films, this was shot in Vermont and has a very personal touch to it as well. If you like giant bug movies, I don't think you'll be disappointed.
