DRACULA 1968 (SINISTER CINEMA)

Very well made adaptation of the Bram Stoker novel.

This is from the British TV show "Mystery and Imagination". Denholm Elliot stars as Count Dracula and does a good job of conveying the evil that has come to Victorian England. Susan George is Lucy and looks great as always. This is a low budget affair, of course, but it manages to bring shudders along the way.

The meeting of the Count's vampire brides is very eerie and well done. n in this version it isn't a character named Renfield who is in an asylum, it's Jonathan Harker. The little twist at the end was a good idea as well.

This will remind you of a Dan Curtis production, but only not as scary. I know the story has been done to death, but I recommend this as it is far more entertaining than some versions I could name. The print quality is very good as with most Sinister titles.
