This entry stars Jock Mahoney as a man who is on trail for murder, and thru the use of tons of flashbacks to previous movies we learn the story.
It seems that Mahoney's character (Jack Mahoney) is accused of killing a man whom he was jealous of. The Durango Kid sets out to prove Mahoney innocent.
This feature uses more stock footage than any other entry and that is because it's the final one. Movies like this ended as a result of TV where people were getting this kind of entertainment for free.
It has a great cast including Tristram Coffin, Angela Stevens, Myron Healey, Smiley Burnette and of course, Charles Starrett as Steve Reynolds/Durango Kid.
This is not too bad of an entry in the series, but the stock footage does get in the way, at least in my opinion, but again, the great cast in the new footage make it all worthwhile.
For western fans I really recommend Mill Creek's Durango Kid Collection. One of the best releases of the year so far.
