Picture this.....I am home from surgery and my roommate buys a couple of movies for me to watch and one is this film because she knew it was going to be a bad movie.
This stems from a long conversation with my surgeon who also happens to be a film fanatic and likes all of this B movie junk. We talked about "The Worst Film Ever" and he gave me his selection which was "Monsters Crash The Pajama Party", so Jenn made this selection, and oh my God, she may have won..but we will see. The surgeons son picked "The Room" which will be forth coming in a review and I picked "Zoombies".
Kevin Smith directed this box office disaster which cost 5 million to make and only made $33,000 worldwide. The bizarre story centers around two young girls named Colleen Collette (Lily-Rose Depp) and Colleen McKenzie (Harley Quinn Smith) otherwise known as Colleen squared, who work at a small convenience store in Winnipeg, Canada.
They soon discover that there is a Nazi scientist living beneath the store and hoping to take over the world and bring back Adolph Hitler. His Nazi soldiers are very small creatures made up of human DNA and Bratwurst!!! Yep, you read that right. It's called the Bratzi Party.
The mad doctor creates a giant bratwurst monster in a hockey mask with hockey stick and the girls defeat it with yoga moves!!! They even use the old technique from Batman back in 1966 with balloon captions such as "wap", "crunch" and much more!!
There are a few slightly comical moments in this film, but nothing to really remember. I watched this film at 5am and I admit it really fit that time perfectly. I like bad movies and good movies of all kinds and I really don't know what to make of this film. It is on Blu-ray and it was in the dollar store, and again, Jenn picked it up.
I sometimes have wondered if she got me this film to get even with me for having to take care of me after surgery. What a treat!! Well anyway, this is a film that you will either like or hate. Me, I hated it but also liked it. God, I need help.
