ADVENTURES OF SUPERMAN SEASON 3 1955 (WARNERS)

Season 3 kicks off in a very different fashion from the previous 2 years.

Season 3 started the color era of the show, and the episodes got much lighter than the previous 2. There was one particular episode that, as you'll see was extremely surreal.

The seasons also became much shorter as they only consisted of 13 episodes rather than the usual 26.

THROUGH THE TIME BARRIER 4/23/55... Sterling Holloway stars as a scientist who accidentally send himself as well as Jimmy, Lois, Clark. Perry White and a criminal back in time to 50,000 BC.

THE TALKING CLUE 4/30/55... Inspector Henderson's son, who collects different sounds on tape finds himself in trouble after a robbery.

THE LUCKY CAT 5/7/55... Clark and Jimmy investigate a club created to stop the belief in superstitions.

SUPERMAN WEEK 5/14/55... Two criminals give Jimmy Olsen some truth serum and he reveals where a small amount of Kryptonite is hidden and the gangsters use this to try and defeat Superman.

GREAT CAESAR'S GHOST 5/21/55...Perry White is being slowly driven to a breakdown by the appearance of Caesar's ghost. Will Perry favorite saying become his demise?

TEST OF A WARRIOR 5/28/55... An Indian chief fears exile for not being able to bring rain to his people and seeks Superman's help.

OLSEN'S MILLIONS 6/4/55... Jimmy is given a million dollars by an eccentric woman after he saves one of her many cats, and two gangsters seek to take the money.

CLARK KENT, OUTLAW 9/10/55...Clark is framed by crooks and he decides to play along in order to defeat a crime ring.

THE MAGIC NECKLACE 9/17/55...An ancient necklace that supposedly makes the wearer invincible to anything is sought by three criminals who'll do anything to get it.

BULLY OF DRY GULCH 9/24/55...Myron Healey stars as a man who thinks he can walk all over people in a small town, until Superman teaches him a lesson.

FLIGHT TO THE NORTH 10/1/55... Chuck Conners stars as a hillbilly named Sylvester J. Superman who arrives in Metropolis with his mule seeking fame and fortune, but gets mixed up in a caper about a Lemon pis. This is one of the most surreal and bizarre episodes of any TV program I have ever seen. Once seen, this episode is not soon forgotten.

THE SEVEN SOUVENIRS 10/8/55... A curio dealer sells Superman souvenirs and gets mixed up in a bizarre crime involving valuable radium.

KING FOR A DAY 10/15/55...Jimmy Olsen is mistaken for the young leader of a foreign country and soon finds his life in danger.

And that wraps up season 3 for Superman. There were three more seasons to follow, which I will get to but I still believe that the above mentioned FLIGHT TO THE NORTH was the most bizarre of the entire 6 year run.
