A young woman named Sandy (Nesa Renet) has a string of relationships with men that never work out. Her friend Libby (Regina Carroll) saves her from a suicide attempt and takes her to see some friends of hers who have a ranch in the desert.
The friends are all women led by Grace (Jennifer Bishop). Grace rules with an iron fist and she and the other women smuggle drugs across the Mexican border, use men however they want and terrorize small ranchers living in the area.
After a short while, Sandy begins to wonder if this is what she really wants.
The film also stars Russ Tamblyn, who is in a small role, but he is killed by having a pitchfork shoved into his back by an angry Grace. Lon Chaney, Jr. is the only male working at the ranch and his role in the film is relegated to about 10 minutes total time, but he has a key role in the very interesting climax of the film.
I didn't mind this film too much, but I do wonder why there is not a lot of sync-sound. The way the dialogue is handled reminded me of "Beast Of Yucca Flats". It's always good to watch Regina Carroll in anything as well as Jennifer Bishop. I have been a little obsessed with Bishop over the years and will watch anything she is in. The rest of the cast includes Megan Timothy, Albert Cole and Sharyn Wynters.
The print isn't in very good shape, but Severin did their best with the elements they had to work with.
