Well anyway this is on TUBI in a widescreen version and it's the version with English subtitles. It looks very good as far as film quality goes, and I did enjoy it.
It's a nutty film about the Earth being invavded by what looks like hostile pipe welders from Neptune. There is a group of young children involved in the plot, and I guess it's ok because lets face it, this is a childrens movie.
The invaders want our planet but are thwarted by Iron Sharp, a mysterious super hero who flies in a weird looking car and repels the invaders at every turn.
A very young Sonny Chiba is the star. His character is sometimes referred to as Space Chief in other reviews including mine of 5 years ago. But according to the subtitles it should be Iron Sharp.
Whatever the case, it's still an enjoyable film for me to watch. I think it's due to the odd looking aliens and some of the stock footage they use for the mass destruction scenes. One involves a building with a huge picture of Adolph Hitler in front of it.
You have to be in the right frame of mind to watch and enjoy this, and if you re then find it on TUBI, I don't think you'll be disappointed.
