The first season ends with two of the best episodes of their kind ever to air on network television. Episode 36 aired on 6/6/61 and was entitled Pigeons From Hell. Two young men spend the night in a haunted Louisiana mansion and only one survives. That is a rather lame review but I don't want to give anything away here. This single episode contains more haunting images than any other episode and they will burn themselves into your mind. Story and scripting and acting do NOT get any better than this. The people that make network drivel today ought to try something like this.
The final episode of season 1 is entitled The Grim Reaper and it aired on 6/13/61. Willliam Shatner stars as a man who creates a story about an old painting of the Grim Reaper in order to kill hia aunt and take her money...but he has a little surprise in store.
What a great way to end a season!! I simply cannot recommend these enough.
