I like this Bill Rebane directed classic about a legendary monster that protects a treasure under a lake in Wisconsin.
Told in flashback and filmed in the beauty of Gleason, Wisconsin the monster looks just like a man in a rubber suit, but don't let that deter you from this interesting film.
It doesn't end well for anyone involved in the film, but this is a sure winner for horror movie fans. I love movies filmed in forests and such as that is the kind of enviornment I grew up in.
You will also recognise music from Rebane's Giant Spider Invasion as well as the 1958 version of The Blob. Good movie and good fun. Very obscure but it is out there.
A nifty piece of trivia is the fact this movie was co-produced by the always sexy Cheri Caffaro!!
For lovers of movies from the silent era to modern day with an emphasis on horror, sci-fi, exploitation, WIP, westerns and anything of the fantastic and bizarre.
