Lew Ayres stars as a man who captures a suspected payroll robber and feels responsible when he dies in police custody. He takes a job on a ranch the widow ownes and quickly becomes friends with her and her young son. Soon his past catches up with him.
This is a great example of Film Noir from the early 50's. Lots of plot twists and turns and double crosses.
The fine cast is rounded out by Victor Jory, Teresa Wright, Jimmy Hunt and Milton Parsons. Recommended!!
