Lindsey was a top comedian and knew how to make people smile without the vulgarness of todays "comics." He also had a varied acting career outside of Mayberry, and genre fans will remember him for extremely interesting roles in such shows as Twilight Zone, Voyage To the Bottom Of The Sea and Alfred Hitchcock Presents plus many more.
He also starred in Hee Haw, which is a favorite of mine as well as hundreds of other television shows. A true talent that will be missed.
