A comet crashes in a lake and revives a long sleeping prehistoric monster from it's egg. It slowly becomes evident that something is eating the local cattle and then is moving on to people.
I love this film because it's people are real, not Hollywood types, it's a regional film with very beautiful location work and it seems to get a lot of bad press that it doesn't deserve..
Bob Hyman turns in the best performance as the local doctor who is very interested in finding the monster. His performance is both believable and well rounded. There are two bumbling guys who rent boats and their friendship seems genuine and it makes the ending all that more sad.
If you haven't seen this, I think you should. You might like it.
