Larry Cohen needs no introduction to people on this blog. Cohen directed many. many genre films including some of my favorites including "Black Caesar", "Hell Up In Harlem", "It's Alive", "God Told Me To", "It Lives Again", "The Stuff" and many more.
Cohen had his own style of making films and every one of them had a special style to them. A typical example was "Q", a great movie about a giant flying monster in New York, a favorite place for Cohen to film.
Larry was a great man who knew what his audience wanted and he gave it to them. He was a film maker whom I admired very, very much. Damn, another one of a kind film makers who is no longer with us. Cohen died on March 23rd at the age of 77.
His legion of fans will miss him, but his legacy will never die. RIP Larry Cohen.
