A young woman named Julie (Rosemary Dexter) goes searching for her missing lover named Luca (Horst Frank) because he is also her psychiatrist and she wants answers.
After many mysteries she ends up at a bizarre villa run by Gerda (Alida Valli). The people at this particular villa are an odd lot indeed.
Several murders occure and as Julie digs deeper into what happened to Luca, she finds the attempts on her life are also getting more frequent.
She meets a former gangster named Frank (Adolfo Celi) and he offers to help her. Things take another turn here as we are given many red herrings as to who the murderer is.
I can't give away the ending, but it's a nice twist and then is has another twist on top of that!!.A very well made and photographed movie that slow burns into a great climax.
It was very nice to see 25 year old Sybil Danning in this film, and yes, she is hotter than hell. If you like Giallos, I highly recommend this gem.
