TOP 50 RELEASES OF THE YEAR

The countdown continues this week starting at # 20. I appreciate the input from you people that take the time to write. If you want to vote in the poll on the right side of the screen, please do so. So, lets get on with the countdown...
20. Mutant (Forbidden World) (Shout Factory) Fun Roger Corman produced film about a mutant monster running amok on a small planetoid. Jesse Vint, Lindon Chiles and the always sexy Dawn Dunlap and June Chadwick headline the fun cast.
19. Johnny Bravo Season 1 (Warner Brothers) Probably the greatest cartoon show since Rocky & Bullwinkle. OOHH MAMA Johnny is pretty as he gets into one misadventure after another. So popular even Donny Osmond made an appearance as well as an antelope named Carol...some of you will know exactly what significance that has.
18. Mega Shark Vs. Giant Octopus (Asylum) Debbie Gibson stars in this fun monster film which includes a shark who actually takes a bite out of the Golden Gate Bridge!!! A very fun monster romp.
17. Hannie Caulder (Olive) The eternally sexy Raquel Welch stars as a woman who is assaulted by three maniacs who kill her husband and leave her for dead. She seeks revenge with the help of a bounty hunter played by Robert Culp. Ernest Borgnine, Jack Elam and Strother Martin are the crazed gunmen Hannie wants revenge on. This is how westerns show be made. Top Notch!!!!
16. 1000 Years From Now (Sinister Cinema) The only entry this year from Sinister Cinema is an obscure film about the last survivors of a nuclear war fighting for survival in a decimated world. Robert Clark stars. This is also known as Captive Women and was released in 1951.
15. Disembodied, The (Warner Archive) Super super sexy Allison Hayes stars as Tonda, a woman who is secretly the head of a voodoo cult in this very entertaining jungle thriller. Seeing Allison dance in a tribal right is enough to sell the film to me anyway. Excellent quality and wide screen from Warner.
14. Bonnie's Kids (Dark Sky) I will watch paint dry if it has Tiffany Bolling in it!! Great film about two young women who start to live life in the wild side after attempted rapes and abuse by their stepfather whom they kill. Exploitation at it's best.
13. Slithis (Code Red) I simply cannot understand why Code Red only managed to sell 486 copies of this remarkable monster movie!! A great throwback to the 50's and non stop fun. Highly Recommended film and I am proud to be one of the very few who owns a copy of it.
12. Survival Of The Dead (Magnet) The master of modern horror, George A. Romero came back with yet another entry of his Dead films. This film concerns two families who are fighting for control of a small island while fighting the flesh eating zombies. A lot of people criticized this film, but mt god, it is exactly what it should be, fun and totally entertaining. Romero still has it.
11. Navy Vs. The Night Monsters (Cheezy Flicks)  One of my favorite 60's monster movies finally comes to DVD in a pretty good looking print. Acid bleeding trees threaten the military personnel on a small island in the Pacific. Anthony Eisley and Mamie Van Doran star. The monsters are outrageous, but I still think they are cool. Highly Recommended!!!
Well next week I reveal the TOP 10 for 2010, and some of those may surprise you.
