Juan Piquer Simon directed this film about a weird looking alien monster that is befriended by a small earth child. He names the alien Trumpy and yet the alien looks more like Horton.
I don't consider this a bad film, but I am mystified as to what the hell is going on. I have heard that the script was changed to make the alien friendly after the huge success of E.T and that might be why this movie really makes no sense.
There is a scene where the family cat is biting the aliens trunk-like nose and simply won't stop, but the actor continues walking down a table as he looks at the earth animals. All I can say is watch this and then decide for yourself. I still haven't recovered. This is also known as "The Pod People".
