I grew up watching Edd is such shows as "Cheyenne" and "77 Sunset Strip" which is the show he is best known for.
He started his acting career in 1956 and quickly became a teenage heart throb to millions of girls across the USA. He also starred in such films as "Reform School Girls", "Life Begins At 17" and "Grease".
He also recorded a favorite song of mine called "Kookie, Kookie Lend Me Your Comb" which he sang with Connie Stevens. In later years he appeared in shows like "Married With Children", "Unhappily Ever After" and "Murder She Wrote".
A 50's icon who will always be remembered by people my age and older. Byrnes was a true talent and a very nice man as well. He passed away on Jan. 9th, 2020 at the age of 86. It's ironic he died on the 85th anniversary of the birth of another American icon...Elvis Presley.
