Danielle De Luca stars as Diana Kelper,a young woman who arrives in a small New Mexico town only to find she has been tricked into working as a stripper.
She does the work in order to make money so she can go back home after she calls her parents and they refuse to help her. One night she is kidnapped by Colin Mandel (J.D. Garfield) who has twisted plans for her.
She is one of the many and many missing women in town that the Sheriff played by Joe Mantegna chooses to ignore. Mandel has been kidnapping women, stripping them of their clothes and then hunting them down like animals.
Diana proves to be more of a challenge than mandel thought, and she manages to outsmart him every time. Meanwhile Dwight Terry (Arron Shiver) the deputy sheriff is trying to gather information on Diana and others, but is always stopped by the Sheriff or others.
Mandel's insanity is finally discovered, but not after the ordeal has cost many innocent lives and caused sever changes in Diana. She is now a vicious animal and actually chews thru her bonds in the hospital and escapes.
The conclusion of the film skips ahead 10 months and we see Diana in a truck with a man, whom she promptly shoots in the head and steals his money. Listen to the news report at the very end for an even more interesting kicker.
This is a well made film, but it is disturbing in so many ways. For a 17 year old movie, it sure fits into the times today just fine. I would indeed recommend this movie.
