31 DAYS OF HALLOWEEN DAY 6: PLANET TERROR 2007 (DIMENSION)

Damn I love this movie. This was the first half of the double feature movie released in April 2007 entitled Grindhouse and directed by Robert Rodriguez and Quinten Tarantino. When released on dvd the silly company split both movies up into separate release because the movie going public was stupid and didn't know this was a double feature. It proves my point about modern audiences, but on to other things.

Lovely Rose McGowan is a young woman who fights for her life with a group of ragtag survivors when a bio-weapon is unleashed turning the population around them into melting, disgusting flesh eating monsters. The action is fast and furious and they made the film look like it was old and scratched, just like the films I used to watch and still do from time to time.

It's great to watch McGowan replace her leg, which has been ripped off by the zombies, with a table leg and then finally with a sub machine gun. Gotta love it!!

The rest of the cast includes Freddy Rodriguez, Josh Brolin, Marley Shelton, Jeff Fahey, Bruce Willis, Stacy Ferguson, Tom Savini, Michael Parks and the Crazy Babysitter Twins. Finally somebody made a modern film that actually entertains!! Recommended Halloween viewing.
