Gerald Mohr, Nora Hayden, Les Tremayne and Jack Kruschen are four astronauts who head to Mars for an exploratory mission. They land on Mars and find many weird life forms including a bar/rat/spider monster, man eating plants, 3 eyed martians, and a huge one eyed one celled monster.
The monster digests Kruschen in a scene that, when I was a child it made a hell of an impression on me and I never forgot it. The scenes on Mars are filmed in "Cinemagic" which is a weird looking red negative process which does make this movie different from other such outings.
Ib Melchoir directed and the music is stock from any other films until the end credits when it becomes pretty cool in my opinion anyway. This is a good little film that should be seen by every sci-fi fan who loves films from this era.
