THE EXECUTIONER 1970 (TUBI)
Very well done spy movie.
Sam Wanamaker directed this fast paced film starring George Peppard as John Shay, a British Intelligence Agent who suspects that a fellow agent, Adam Booth (Keith Mitchell) is a double agent.
Shay will stop at nothing to prove his point and it gets him into trouble when his bosses tell him to ignore the issue. Shay, of course, refuses.
It doesn't help that Shay is still in love with a beautiful woman named Sarah Booth, who happens to be married to Adam. Even after being put on suspension, Shay still tries and prove that Adam is working for the Russians.
All of this culminates in Shay killing Booth and then disposing of the body. However, this is where the plot takes a very bizarre turn. Shay discovers that he was very wrong about Booth and has been used as a pawn by the Communists.
The movie has a very depressing ending and we see the toll this has taken on Shay. The rest of the cast includes beautiful Joan Collins as Sarah and Judy Geeson as well as Charles Gray, Oscar Homolka, Nigel Patrick, George Baker, Alexander Scourby, Peter Bull and Peter Dyneley.
If you get a chance and are a fan of this genre, you gotta see this one.

RIP PIETRO GENUARDI 1962-2025
The Italian actor has died.
In his almost 40 year career, Genuardi appeared in some classic horror genre credits including "Paganini Horror", "Killer Crocodile", and "Cemetary Man".
Pietro Genuardi died on March 14, 2025 at the young age of 62.
VOODOO MOON 2006 (LIONSGATE)
Not too bad of a movie, but it could have been so much better.
This made for TV movie stars Eric Mabius as Cole, a man with strange powers. He and his beautiful sister Heather (Charisma Carpenter) are joined by a few other people in order to fight evil.
Rick Young is Daniel, a man who is the personification of Satan and must be destroyed.
There are some interesting things in this movie and it starts out very well, but slows down a lot about two thirds into the movie. I watched this because of the cast and I stuck with it, but as I said, I expected so much more.
The rest of the cast includes John Amos, Jeffrey Combs (in a great role), Dee Wallace, Geoffrey Lewis, Kim Hawthorne and the gorgeous Jayne Heitmeyer.
It's an ok time waster, but I can't really recommend it.

RIP MARIA GRAZIA SPINA 1936-2025
The beautiful Italian actress has passed away.
Spina has over 55 credits in Italian movies and TV shows in her almost 30 year career.
A lot of her movies and TV shows haven;t been seen outside of Italy, but there have been a handfull of her movies that made it to America.
Her credits include "Drakut The Avenger", "Tarter Invasion", "Kerim, Son Of The Sheik", "Samson And The Slave Queen", "Hercules Against The Mongols", and "Revolt Of The barbarians".
The gorgeous Maria Grazia Spina passed away on March, 13, 2025 at the age of 88.
BATMAN AND ROBIN 1949 (COLUMBIA)
This is the second movie serial featuring the dynamic duo.
Batman (Robert Lowery) and Robin (John Duncan) are trying to stop the mysterious villian known as "The Wizard" from controlling the world.
The Wizard has stolen a Remote Control Device that can control traffic up to 50 miles away. The creator of this device is Prof. Hammil (William Fawcett) and he is very anti-social.
This Columbia serial has the usual amounts of action and adventure. Each of the 15 chapters moves us closer to finding out who the Wizard really is and it moves along at a great clip.
Lowery makes a very good Bruce Wayne/Batman character and Duncan plays off him very well for Robin. I recommend this for serial buffs.
The rest of the cast includes Lyle Talbot, Jane Adams, Ralph Graves, Don C. Harvey, Michael Whalen, Rick Vallin and Leonard Penn. I know this is kind of vague, but I really don't want to spoil your viewing of this if you watch it for the first time.
Just take my word for it, you won't be disappointed.

SAVAGE ABDUCTION 1973 (TROMA)
The original title for this weird film is "Cycle Psycho".
A sexual psycho named Harry (Joe Turkel), who makes out with mannequins and hates women because of a severe mother complex, kills a businessman's wife.
The businessman's name is Dick Ridelander (Tom Drake) and we find that he paid Harry to kill her. Well then Harry turns around and blackmails Ridelander into finding him two young women he can torture and kill.
Ridelander hires a motorcycle gang to kidnap two young women and when they find their targets they take them to a house and torment the girls.
Nothing ends well in this twisted saga of killers and corrupt businessmen. This is a very low budget film, but I found that it works well. It may not be the greatest movie ever made, but it's a hell of a lot better than most movies made today.
If you get a chance you might want to check it out. It is very twisted, and Turkel is way over the top.
The rest of the cast includes Stafford Repp, Steve Oliver, Sean Kenney, Amy Thomson, Tanis Gallik, Kitty Vallacher and Marga Jean.

VIOLENT BREED 1984 (KINO) BLU-RAY
I have seen much better Italian cinema.
Henry Silva stars as Kirk Cooper, who, along with Polo (Woody Strode) and Mike Martin (Harrison Muller) are attempting to rescue some children from drug dealers in a South American hellhole.
Cooper is shot during the rescue and Polo digs out the bullit with a knife. You better suspend your disbelief when you see that scene!! Then without warning Polo decides to stay behind and run his own drug empire!!
This makes no sense whatsoever, and the rest of the film is just as silly. Cooper sends Martin back to the jungle to stop Polo and his gang from getting drugs for the mafia.
It's Rambo style action from this point on and while the movie moves along well, it really doesn't go anywhere....if that makes sense. There is plenty of action and nice looking women, but the movie is a disappointment.
many of the characters do things that are completely incoherent and the ending has Polo again joining Martin and Cooper in another job. What the hell is that all about? I have just watched a 90 minute movie where Polo is the top bad guy who turned on Cooper and Martin, and now they come together for another assignment??
I'm not buying that at all. Avoid this is you can.

FLIRTING WITH DANGER 2006 (TUBI)
I caught this on TUBI and found it to be very good.
James Thomas stars as Rafe Marino, a detective whose best friend has just died from a heart attack at a young age. As the story progresses, he discovers a few more deaths just like this.
Rafe meets a very beautiful woman at the funeral. Her name is Laura Clifford (Charisma Carpenter). They both begin a torrid affair, much to the shagrin of his work partner Gloria Moretti (Victoria Sanchez).
As more men die and past deaths are uncovered Rafe begins to suspect Laura as being a killer. There are a few nice twists and turns as well as the usual red herrings.
I have read some people's comments that the film tries too hard to be sexual, but I disagree. This film has plenty of gorgeous women with Charisma leading the pack, of course.
The film moves along at a good pace and the viewer should never be bored. I had never heard of this movie before I saw it listed for streaming. Hopefully it will get a little bit better known.
As usual I won't spoil the ending, but as you watch the movie you might see it coming.

THE DEATH WHEELERS 1973 (CHEEZY FILMS)
The original title of this film was "Psychomania" and I remember seeing it forthe firsttime on VHS under that title when I bought it from K-Mart.
Don Sharp directed this bizarre movie about the leader of a motorcycle called "The Living Dead" who discovers that there is a way to return from the dead via his mother and their butler played by Beryl Reid and George Sanders respectively.
Tom Latham (Nicky Henson) kills himself and the comes back to life, and when not killing people for fun, convinces the rest of the gang that they too can come back, but they have to really believe that they are coming back or it won't work.
The gang follows his lead except his girlfriend Abby (Mark Larkin) does not want to die and come back...she wants to live and love.
A lot of folks don't like this movie but I found it to be interesting and unique. I'll admit when I first saw it in the early 80's I didn't think too much of it, but now in my older years I find it a refreshing film from the usual junk made today.
The rest of the cast includes Roy Holder, Denia Gilmore, Robert Hardy, and Rocky Taylor.
This was George Sanders final film for all you trivia buffs out there.
