MR BLANDINGS BUILDS HIS DREAM HOUSE 1948 (WARNER)

One of the greatest films ever made!! Cary Grant and Myrna Loy are a couple with two girls. Grant is tired of city life so he decides to buy a home in the country and his dream turns into a nightmare.
This is subtle comedy people, not slapstick but it works on every level possible.
Loy and Grant as well as Melvyn Douglas all play off each other excellently. The dead pan humor works especially when having to dig a well and dealing with something called the lallies.
Lex Barker has a small role in the classic comedy from the late 40's. Highly recommended!!
