You may not know his name, but you'd recognize the face immediately. Swofford began his career in 1962 with a role on the TV show "Surfside 6".
He moved on to other TV shows including "Adam 12", "Wild Wild West", "Cimarron Strip" and many other thru the 60's and 70's. I was first introduced to him in the 70's TV show "Ellery Queen" where he plays a reporter named Frank Flannigan.
His excellent voice was unmistakable and since "Ellery Queen" back in 1975-76 I have seen Swofford in many other things including such movies as "S.O.B.", "The Domino Killings" and Russ Meyers "Common Law Cabin".
He has a 56 year career in movies and TV and he will always be remembered by me as Flannigan..a nosy reporter who always tried to outwit Ellery Queen, but never succeeded.
He passed away on Nov. 1st, 2018 at the age of 85.
