Rumor has it that Paul Naschy talked English director John Gilling into directing this effort, and the results are entertaining but I have to admit some parts are slow moving.
A British author travels to Spain to visit his sister about whom he has dreams about her being killed. He arrives and discovers that she has been killed by a group of Satan worshippers.
It's interesting to see the Knights Templar again in all of their rotting glory, but it just seems different from the others that came before this one.
Gilling handles the film well and this was his last directing job. There are some good twists and turns and the ending is an open one and nobody comes to a good end here.
The cast includes Ramiro Oliveros, Carmen Savilla, Emma Cohen, Monica Randall, Tony Isbert and Fernando Sancho.
This Spanish horror is worth checking out. It's rare and the presentation here is beautiful. It is subtitled in English and if you're a fan of Euro horror you have to see it.
