Yes, this was a TV movie made for Lifetime 6 years ago. A young woman named Anna (Carley Schroeder) comes to a small island to be with her new husband Richard (Phillip Keene).
At first we think the old home in which they live is haunted. But that soon changes. Richard is an evil man. In the opening scene we see him push his blind first wife to her death from the platform of a searchlight along the beach.
Richard wants to obtain the money that Anna has but she must remain alive for this to happen. Richard has a lot of debt and so he plots, along with his mistress Beth (Hedley Harlan), to drive Anna insane.
The plan seems to work until Richard ocks her in a small room, which Anna has a great fear. He mind snaps and she goes on a bloody killing spree. Needless to say everyone gets what they deserve.
The ending is fun to watch and very well done. It reminds me of the ending to Ray's other film "Haunting Fear" which is a favorite of mine, the the last line said by Anna should be known by every horror fan.
This is not too bad of a film and I have to admit I enjoyed it a lot. As usual with films made in this time, I don't know any of the actors involved, but they all did their jobs well.
This is another in a long line of Fred Olen Ray films I have to say I liked and will probably revisit sometime. The rest of the cast includes Kristin Minter, Kathryn Schneider, Mark Torres and Stephanie Dauman.
