My review of this in September of 2017 was based on a SYFY Channel viewing. I picked up this DVD and seeing this on DVD is, like anything else to do with movies, is better with no commercial interruptions.
This is by no means a classic, and since it was made for the SYFY channel, the effects are strictly CGI and really bring the movie down. The story centers on young people at a resort vacation. Everything seems to be ok until a huge shark that shoots green slime out of it's head begins killing and eating people.
To make matter worse, the green sludge it spits out contaminates the waters surrounding the island and it a person is exposed to it for too long they become what I call "shark zombies". The go crazy and attack people with the goal being to bite them and spread the contamination.
I have kind of softened on this film over the last year, and while it's still not great, I did find it somewhat entertaining with my brain shut off.
Of course with all modern films it is made to look like a rock video or reality show, but I have to admit the babes were gorgeous with Kabby Borders stealing the show. Damn, that woman looks great in her bikini which she wears thru almost the entire film.
If you're looking for a completely non-thinking movie, this might be up your alley, but as I learned, never watch this with commercials.
