Pilato started his career in 1978 in George Romero's "Dawn Of The Dead" and then moved onto "Effects" a bizarre and well made film shot in Pittsburgh.
Pilato appeared in many movies but his best known role was as Capt. Rhodes in George Romero's "Day Of The Dead" in 1985. Joe was a very nice man in real life and loved his fans and was always willing to talk with them wherever he was.
Joseph Pilato just turned 70 less than 10 days ago. He died on March 24th in his sleep. RIP Capt. Rhodes.
