Simply one of the best Mexican films ever made!! If you like bizarre horror, then this is for you. Abel Salazar stars as Baron Vitelius Of Estera, a man accused of witchcraft and executed in 1661. He is burned alive but vows to come back three hundred years later when a comet appears in the sky and then he will take revenge on the ancestors of those who executed him.
300 years later a comet apppears and he does indeed come back, but as a face pulsating long forked tongue monster that sucks out human brains!!
Some of the movie is shot on sets which consist of photo backgrounds as the actors stand in front on them, and it looks very odd, but it will hold your attention.
I could go on for pages and pages about this movie and how our antagonist gets revenge but you've got to see the film to fully appreciate it.
Salazar produced this film as well, and did many, many other Mexican wonders. Also in the cast are German Robles and the gorgeous Ariadna Welter. The print is gorgeous and I Highly recommend this title to any horror fan.
For lovers of movies from the silent era to modern day with an emphasis on horror, sci-fi, exploitation, WIP, westerns and anything of the fantastic and bizarre. THIS SITE IS DEDICATED TO BOB WILKINS, GEORGE ROMERO, ALAN FREED, ROGER CORMAN, HELGA LINE, CAROLINE MUNRO, JOHN FREDRIKSEN, JOHN ZACHERLE, CLEO MOORE , ROSALBA NERI, ERIKA BLANC, FEMI BENUSSI, SHIRLEY CORRIGAN, ROSANNA YANNI, MIRTA MILLER, KARIN DOR, BARBARA BOUCHET, MAMIE VAN DOREN, BARBARA STEELE and, of course, CASEY KASEM.

HORROR EXPRESS 1972 (SEVERIN)
Long ignored by most horror fans for some unknown reason, this classic stars Peter Cushing, Christopher Lee and Telly Savalas and is about an alien force that has been brought aboard the Trans Siberian Express by a Prof. played by Lee.
The alien, after hiding in a fossil escapes on the train and proceeds to fry peoples brains and absorb their memories.
This is a very fine film and sadly underrated. Savalas is great as a Cossack who boards the train mid picture and meets death at the hands of the creature. Cushing is as usual, great and Helga Line is sexy as ever as a stowaway whose dies much too early for me.
Severin has released a blu ray combo pack of this film which has been available for years on many PD lables, but they have made this film look absolutely wonderful.
If you get a chance, check it out. This one comes highly recommended!!

RIOT ON 42ND STREET/BAD GIRLS DORMITORY 1987/1986 (CODE RED)
I have never seen any film by Tim Kincade except Breeders which I thought was pretty good and a bit bizarre. Well now I have seen two more and I just picked my jaw up off the floor. This is a set in the Maria's B Movie Mayhem collection from Code Red, and if not for the very sexy Maria Kanellis I don't think I would have bothered much.
Riot on 42nd Street is ok, but it seems like a very disjointed affair that really never goes anywhere and culminates in a very low budget riot with about 15 people. There are some greusome shocks along the way, but it seems to me that the scenes are not put together well.
Bad Girls Dormitory is easily the worst WIP film I have ever seen. Once again everything seems very out of place and the action is jumbled.
If you must see these films, then do so, but be aware they both run about 90 minutes a piece which is way too long. Dormitory I will not even discuss, I will let you see it for yourself.

AMERICAN TOP 40 THE 70'S
This weekends edition of AT 40 the 70's takes us back to 12/4/1976, which to me was the best year for music as well as 1977. This edition has Queen asking for "Somebody To Love", The Sylvers using the "Hot Line", Leo Sayer said "You Make Me Feel Like Dancing", Rick Dees dancing with the "Disco Duck", and Gordon Lightfoot remembering "The Wreck of The Edmund Fitzgerald."

TOP DVD RELEASES OF THE YEAR...COMING SOON
The top releases of the year on DVD are coming next week. My top 40 list starts and will review 10 per week for 4 weeks.
This hasn't been the best of years for yours truely, and there are no doubt a few films that should have been in the list that aren't there simply because I haven't had the time to see them, but I think the list I have put together will get some comments from you.
The countdown starts on 12/10/11.

TEENAGE HITCHHIKERS/TEENAGE TRAMP 1975/1973 (CODE RED)
A double feature exploitation disc hosted by sexy Maria Kanellis. Teenage Hitchhikers is a somewhat bizarre and trite film about two teenage girls hitchhikng who come across some bizarre characters in their travels. Ample nudity and 70's sleaze as only could have been done in that era.
Teenage Tramp is by far the better movie with Alishe Fontaine starring as a young woman who goes to the west coast to meet her sister and runs afowl of her boyfriends cult member buddies. This print is in pretty bad shape, but it really dore look like a grindhouse film with all the splices and the damn green lines running thru the film. As I said, it is the better film of the two and does have a very interesting plot and a kicker ending.
Rounding out the disc is some cool previews from Code Red and Maria's music video Fantasy.
