In my opinion the 1950's was not only the best time in America, but the best time for American horror movies, and this is a perfect example. Whit Bissel stars as Dr. Frankenstein, a modern doctor who is again trying to create the perfect being, but this time from teenage body parts.
Robert Burton is his assistant and Gary Conway is the teenage monster. Phyllis Coates is the doctors love interest whom he lets the monster kill!! I always have thought Phyllis was gorgeous as hell, and in this movie she really gets my bells ringing.
The monsters face is a horror icon as it is one of the most gruesome things in movies up to that time. If you enjoy 50's horror as I do, then find the VHS cassette and watch it. Sadly, this isn't available on DVD and may never be as long as Susan Nicholson holds the rights.
