STRANGE LOVE OF MARTHA IVERS 1946 (MILL CREEK)

A very memorable film noir starring Van Heflin as a man who stops in the small town he grew up in and finds the girl he once loved (Barbara Stanwyck) now a woman who owns the town and is married to an alcoholic DA (Kirk Douglas).
Tension mounts as his visit rekindles some bad memories, especially one of how Martha killed her aunt many years ago.
Elizabeth Scott is a young woman Heflin meets that is being used a pawn to get him out of town.
There are many twists and turns and dark secrets in this perfect example of how to make a film noir. The movie was even nominated for and Oscar back in 1946.
If you haven't seen it, you should. This is what movie making is all about.
Highly Recommended!!
