Kent Taylor is Dr. Ted Baxter, an investigator working with the Government in an investigation of radioactive bodies being washed up on a particular section of the California coast. Michael Whalan is Dr. King, a scientist who may be responsible for creating a mutated life form which is protecting a precious element underwater.
Cathy Downs is Lois King, the beautiful daughter of the prof. and a love interest for Baxter. The monster itself is a pretty wild looking thing. When I first saw it I loved it as it looks like a twisted Muppet.
This release from MGM is the best the film has ever looked, and for monster fans like me that is perfect. The film rags a few times, but is still an enjoyable monster romp for those who like this kind of material. I find myself re-visitng this film often, and believe it or not it does gt more enjoyable with each viewing.
