4-D MAN 1959 (IMAGE)

A very underrated film.

Robert Lansing stars as a scientist who is able to walk thru walls and must steal the life force from people in order to stay young.

This has happened as the result of his experiments involving radiation and his brothers new invention which enables one matter to pass thru another. He finds passing thru walls an such costs him youth so he kills people to regain it. The process slowly drives him mad and he is hunted by police and co-workers alike.

Lee Meriweather makes her film debut as the young woman who loves the Lansing character and then falls for his brother. James Congdon is Tony Nelson who created the machine in the first place and then finds himself looking for his brother the killer.

All of the performances are very good in this film and the effects are well done. It should be pointed out that this is also Lansing's film debut as well, and he carries the part better than most other actors I can think of that might have had the part.

This is a somewhat hard to find DVD, but if you can find it I highly recommend it.
