This is a retelling of the George Romero classic about the citizens of a small town who star going crazy and becoming homicidal maniacs. It seems the government has spilled a chemical called Trixie in the water supply and now must try and cover it up.
This movie stays somewhat faithful to the original without messing up too much. The ending a a kicker, but not alltogether unexpected. Romero produced this movie and it is good on it's own merits, but I still like the original better.
This is a must see for Romero fans however.
