The Directorial debut of actress Drew Barrymore is a fun and very well made film about a young girl who becomes the star of a Texas Roller Derby team and takes the name of Babe Ruthless. I love the Roller Derby anyway and this movie was a great treat.
Barrymore plays Smashley Simpson and the always excellent Zoe Bell is Bloody Holly. The skating scenes are very well done and Ellen Page is very good in the lead role of a bored girl wanting to find her path in life. This role is much better than Juno for her.
For a good time see this movie and just enjoy!!
