It is only fitting that on June 17th, the birthday of the late Lucio Fulci and my 100th post to this very young blog should be his greatest work.
Easily the goriest Italian film up to the year 1979, this film features ground breaking special effects and those effects will never be seen again with the advent of CGI (I am sorry to say). A small island is over run with flesh eating zombies . Richard johnson, Al Cliver and Tisa Farrow star as three people who attempt to stop the zombie invasion, but to no avail.
The underwater fight between a shark and a zombie has never been rivaled on the screen, and again, will never be done again.
One of the most highly recommended movies I could ever put on this blog.
