This aired on TCM a few weeks ago and I can easily say this ranks as one of the top 5 most twisted films I have EVER SEEN!! Lovely Leslie Uggams stars as a woman who experiences car trouble near a very small southern town and soon finds herself fighting off the advances of a demented Elvis impersonator named Eddie!! If that isn't trouble enough it seems the entire town is inhabited by the lost relatives of the hillbillies in Deliverence. Uggams character is raped and abused by Eddie and she tries to find justice thru the Sheriff's office but Sheriff Orville will have none of that. The sheriff is played by Slim Pickens and the judge is played by Dub Taylor.
Movies just don't get any more twisted than this. The ending is a shocker and it is always good to see Shelley Winters as a crazy ex-actress who is boozing it up. Ted "Lurch" Cassidy is also in the cast.
A VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED piece of exploitation filmmaking. Truely demented and totally entertaining. Please see this film.
Favorite Line.....(When Uggams character wants to reoprt a rape Sheriff Orville asks her "Do you want to suck on a Tomato?")
