Acquanetta stars as Paula Dupree the ape changed into a woman thanks to the insane experiment of a doctor played by John Carradine.
Milburn Stone is a circus animal trainer who finds Paula very interesting because she has a way to control wild tigers and lions just by looking at them. Gorgeous Evelyn Ankers is Stone's lady love. There is a ton of stock footage involving Clyde Beatty and his training of lions. This footage is used whenever Stone enters the lions cage.
Not a bad film by any stretch and Acquanetta is a very attractive woman. If only all Universal monsters looked like her. I recommend this film for anyone who likes Universal 40's horror.
