George Romero cashes in on the hand held camera movie craze in this unfairly maligned film.
Several people making a horror film find the world falling apart after the dead begin coming back to life. One young filmmaker decides to record every minute of their flight to get home.
The zombies are good as usual and there are several shocking scenes including one in a hospital, one in the home of a young lady and then at an isolated farm.
Good stuff from one of the masters of horror. This film receives a lot of bad press and I don't understand why. It is a typical Romero horror film with a slightly different twist and I thought that would appeal to most horror fans, but then again, this is the audience that has now made The Avengers and other such rot big box office.
I recommend this for any horror fan who likes the Romero style.
